276th POST. July 17, 2011 @ 9:47:00 PM What I did for the whole week : -Made a birthday card for Oliver! (Happy Birthday, sweetie!) -Helped Deanna and Janice with the invitation cards for the Prefect's Annual Reception. -Meeting with the UKECharisma Education Team. -Attended our school's Parents Day. -Being all excited and happy for the McDonald's Olympic Day Run 2011. -Ran in the McDonald's Olympic Day Run 2011. Any problemo? (; --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, I had a meeting with the UKECharisma Education Team on Wednesday. Actually, I didn't sign up for this. I just got picked. Well, I'm lucky enough. Other lucky or unlucky ones, which pretty much depends on how they think, include Dhakshayani, Janice, Tse Ann, Afiqah, Elena, Kai Hang, Li Ying, Cynthea, Ji Wei, Pui San, Jing Fei, Joey, Wenxi and a few more. I couldn't remember that well. Sorry. Met Angeline, or Angie and Michelle. They briefed us on what we're supposed to do and stuff. To make it short, this UKEC program is to help the primary school (SK Seri Setia - My former school!) students to develop interest in English. And, we're supposed to help out there for two weeks, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays from 2 to 4, and Saturdays, from 8 to 3. We were also assigned to our mentors, who were from the universities in UK. I was assigned to Leonie Beyrle. She's from Germany! (If I'm not mistaken.) I'm so so so excited for this whole thing! Can't wait to meet them and my primary school teachers too! (: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- School's Parents Day was on Friday, the 15th. I was being a bad student and I brought my phone along. Heh! My mum asked me to. It as raining heavily the whole time. Let's just say, it gave me a bad feeling about everything. Anyway, reached school and slacked around. Kar Seng, Shu Hee, and Desmond texted me, and they're all from the same class, sitting together. Pretty lifeless, huh? LOL. :D Went out for duty in 4A3. Okay, it sucked. I was paired up with Ji Wei and Deanna who is supposed to be at 4A4 had something else to do. So, I was stucked there, being all bored until the students started causing troubles for me. Completely annoyed. Hey there, I just wanna go home and you don't start fooling with me. Ji Wei went back early, and thus I was left there with Derrick and Desmond. Okay, thanks to them, I managed to, somewhat, get those nincompoops in control. Then, this creepy guy appeared. Okay, I don't wanna talk about him. I get goosebumps just by thinking about him. )': He scares me. Oh yeah, and thank you Derrick. You've been really nice today for chasing him off. (: My class teacher , Mr Nik gave positive comments on me (THANK GOD). I'm now safe. :D After school was Add Maths tuition at 2.30 with the ever-so-cute Mr Teng and later continued with Pn Mazni's Accounts class at 4.30. Seriously, how am I supposed to stay awake for such long classes. Let's just hope for the best~ p.s Kar Seng, I like your oh-so-AWESOME hair! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Woke up at 5 am-ish for this. To be exact, I woke up at 4. I couldn't sleep. I was excited (and freaking nervous) for this run. My first ever run. Okay, I reached Dataran Merdeka at about 6.15 am. Met up with Benjamin and asked him to keep my stuff. Searched for Kumaran and Asthen after settling with Benjamin. I took part in the 5 km team run with Kumaran, Asthen and my sis. (; Amazingly, after running around for a while, my nervousness magically left me alone. Like, FINALLY! Waited to enter the start compartments and saw Zhi Hao, Boon Liong and their two friends. Hey, HI THERE! :3 Zhi Hao seems to be shocked when he saw me. Why, do I look like so I-hate-sports sissy? When the race started, what I remember was, I ran, and ran, and RAN. Gotta catch up with my team members. And, soon, Kumaran and Asthen disappeared. As expected. They're like PRO runners. I'm like, a puny little un-almighty beginner. Anyway, I completed the run. Although I was slow, but it was a great experience and most importantly, I had lots of fun! Didn't manage to get a medal, but according to Zhi Hao, we almost got one. We're like, 2 or 3 teams late. Oh, well. =3= Got our goodie bags too, by the way. It was loaded with chewing gums. :D Reached home, completely exhausted. Gonna look forward for the next run! Shu Hee, I hope you saw the sky today!
